Partnership moves toward formalisation and implementation.
Gbàlefà Group and the National Agricultural Land Development Authority are advancing discussions toward a formal partnership for the development of the Gbàlefà Renewed Hope Estate for Agribusiness Transformation (GREAT) at Iganna, Oyo State.
The engagement has progressed beyond preliminary discussions, with a NALDA technical team having undertaken a site assessment of the proposed project location and submitted its technical report. The next stage is expected to include the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, detailed mapping of the initial target production areas and commencement of land clearing activities.
The first phase of GREAT is planned around 5,000 acres of commercial cassava production, supported by mechanisation, improved planting materials, agricultural inputs, aggregation, processing and structured market access.
